What is the "new" date JWs are "hinting" at for Armaggeddon?

after the 1975 "we did not say point blank armaggeddon was coming we only suggested it might come" fiasco what is the new date jws are "hinting" at for armaggeddon?

i know now they do not point to any specific date but hint that maybe it might occur such as before 2000 the preaching work will be finished.

this is a suggestion not a prediction so they can wiggle out of this one.

let's pretend that a suspicious presiding overseer k. eepclean, alerted by a misbehaving microwave oven to an apostate infliltration of his flock, hides secret recording devices in kingdom hall furniture, and transcribes the conversations... .

the october watchtower 2014 is now up on jw org.

regarding the new covenant they write.

the governing body sets the scene in the first article by stating how they are like jesus and as humans they are sinless in god's eyes.. then on page 24 they state this.

I recommend you read about dictators like Hitler and Stalin. As time went on, they inflicted more extreme and bizarre controls on their peoples. Gas chambers and gulags didn't happen over night. They were developed and refined over time. The people would have rebelled outright if they had been introduced suddenly. It's the frog in the pot scenario: turn up the heat in increments. I see these guys being far more conscious of what they're doing and far more deliberate than the leaders of the jw religion I converted to in the 90's.

Name Some Things That JWs Look Down Upon That Normal People Wouldn't Even Think About?

jws look down on others for saying, "bless you" if someone sneezes.

it has something to do with the demons.

another example is that it is considered satanic if a man took his hat off for a lady!

One jw I knew looked down on another for liking Star Trek. He thought it was demonic cuz it assumes all the aliens evolved and as jws they should know there are no aliens.

Also, any other tiny personal choice a person makes. One jw friend of mine loves drawing celebrity portraits. Well her jw friends say it's idolatrous.

an old jw friend of mine died on saturday, and i used to be best friends with her jw husband.

we were close friends for 14 years.

i was like his daughter.

The memorial is tomorrow. I'm not going. My mum said it would do my head in if I did, and conveniently I have to work anyway.

"full-time servants age, and so do their parents.

when parents are witnesses, likely their fondest wish is for their children to stay in their assignments.

I bet if they made it so you could count time for caring for the oldies there would be jws queuing at their doors. What a cruel cult. But then, cults are known for discarding members when they are too old or sick.

Local Needs 07/08/2014

i don't know whether i should laugh, or run screaming into the night.. tonights "local needs" was titled "are you following 'the slave' "?.

the theme scripture was 1 peter 2: 21. it was applied that by following jesus steps closely we would then be able to keep up with 'the slave'.

now i don't know about others, but if i were to follow one person and that meant to keep up with someone else, it would mean that the person i was following was following the other person.

I bet the fb has put out a directive for all congs to hammer the technology thing in local needs parts. I feel for the poor old people on fixed incomes who have no clue about technology and no way to buy it. Some of them have never even had a pc.

ok, so i dont want to be a negative bitter person...and we all love little kids, but i am just so torn about the new video just uploaded on jw.org.

if you havent watched it yet, have a look at it...."an animated series that touches hearts".

(yes, its well done...and they certainly like to do a lot of boasting about their technical skills etc...).

Thanks . I bet it's laced with comments about how blessed jws are to have these videos and how they should appreciate them because of all the hard work that's gone into them and how cutting edge Jehovah 's org is and how blessed the audience should feel to be part of it and keep being obedient.
